Deborah Schuh (Lappen)

Deborah Marie Schuh Lappen, 48, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at the Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah, surrounded by her loving family.

She fought a valiant fight against a brain tumor.

She was born April 25, 1963, in Fond du Lac, a daughter of James and Janice Gaffney Schuh.

Deb graduated from Goodrich High School in 1981. She attended University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac and University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and her Certified Public Accountant's license.

She worked for several banks in Illinois and Wisconsin. Her last employment was with Marine Credit Union as the vice president of finance.

Deb was an active member of the Soroptimists International since 2001. She loved spending time at her cottage on Clear Water Lake as well as spending time with her extended family. She was full of love, life, and laughter, and always made people smile.

Survivors include two sons: Gregory Lappen of Oshkosh and Bradley Lappen of Fond du Lac; her parents, James and Janice Schuh of St. Cloud; four brothers: Steven (Hong Que) Schuh of Brookfield, Thomas Schuh of Omro, David (Lisa) Schuh of Cascade, and Kevin (David) Schuh of Glen Ellen, Calif.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

VISITATION: The family will receive relatives and friends at the Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division St., Fond du Lac, on Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Saturday, Jan. 21, at the funeral home, from 9 to 9:45 a.m.

SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, at St. Joseph Church in the village of St. Joe, W620 County Road G, north of St. Cloud.

Cremation will follow the Mass and burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Fond du Lac.

A special thank you is extended to the doctors and staff at Fox Valley Neuro Spine Center and Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology for her care during her battle with cancer.
